O Lord,
Today we remember and give thanks in a special way
for all men and women
serving in the armed forces for our protection.
We also remember with gratidude
those whom have retired and
those who have died,
especially those who gave their lives defending our freedom.
We ask you to bless, guide and protect those in this world,
and commit the faithful departed
to the peace that is forever,
in Your Awesome Presence.
For the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory are Yours,
now and forever more,
Amen.
